Training

Inner work. Real impact.
From insight to practice

Psychologically informed workshops that help leaders and professionals develop greater calm, clarity, and confidence.

A talk can open a new perspective. A workshop provides the time and space to examine it, experience it, and apply it to one’s own life and work.

The three themes below are also available as talks. In workshop format, the emphasis shifts toward personal reflection, practical exercises, and meaningful exchange. Each workshop is tailored to the audience, organization, and occasion.

Workshops

Three workshops for lasting change

01

Mental Habits

A personal compass, practiced every day

How we live and lead is shaped less by occasional insights than by the states of mind we cultivate every day.

In this workshop, participants define the qualities they want to embody in their lives and work. These become a personal compass: not a set of moral demands, but a positive and practical vision of how they want to meet themselves, other people, and difficult situations.

The workshop then translates this vision into daily practice. Participants develop short, realistic routines for the morning, the working day, and the evening, complemented by personal mindfulness reminders. Every practice is adapted to individual needs and circumstances, supporting clear and friendly self-direction.

Participants explore how to
define the states of mind they want to cultivate
recognize automatic patterns that pull them away from their intentions
begin and end the day more deliberately
return to their inner compass during demanding situations
build consistency through friendly discipline rather than force
02

Calm and Freedom in a High-Tech, High-Speed World

Reclaiming attention in a culture of constant distraction
+

Stress rarely arrives all at once. It accumulates through constant stimulation and habitual reactions that seem harmless in isolation. Because this process often goes unnoticed, people intervene only when their clarity, well-being, and performance have already begun to suffer.

In this workshop, participants examine their personal stress dynamics: what triggers their stress cycle, how it develops, and which subtle signals in body, mind, and behavior provide an early warning. They explore the hidden price they pay for remaining under pressure and learn how to interrupt the cycle before stress escalates.

The workshop also challenges the common belief that pressure is necessary for motivation and performance. Participants learn to distinguish productive energy and commitment from stress-driven activation. They develop ways to direct themselves with greater calm and clarity, allowing them to work more effectively without depending on pressure.

Participants explore how to
recognize their personal stress triggers and recurring stress cycle
notice early warning signs in body, mind, and behavior
understand the cumulative and often hidden costs of stress
intervene before pressure begins to impair clarity and performance
distinguish productive activation from stress-driven urgency
remain focused and effective without relying on pressure
03

The Right Mindset for Public Speaking

The inner foundation of presence, energy, and joy
+

Like all mindtraining workshops, this one begins with the inner process behind outward performance. Technique matters, but mindset determines whether technique can truly come alive.

When speakers try to protect a carefully controlled image of themselves, their attention turns inward. They monitor their performance instead of experiencing what they are saying and connecting with the audience. Voice, body, and expression become more restricted.

A different dynamic emerges when speakers allow themselves to become genuinely involved. Inner engagement creates visible energy. Expressing that energy makes speaking more enjoyable and gives the speaker new energy in return. This positive cycle brings both the speaker and the talk to life.

The workshop helps participants develop the inner freedom to enjoy authentic expression and embrace the performative side of speaking. A little show is not an act of self-display when it serves the audience, the message, and the shared experience.

Participants explore how to
shift their attention from self-monitoring toward the audience and the message
experience their talk rather than merely deliver it
use their voice, body, and emotional energy more freely
enjoy authenticity and performance without protecting a fixed self-image
remain playful and present without taking themselves too seriously
Methods

My work draws on four complementary approaches

Psychologically Informed Reflection
Mindfulness and Meditation
Hypnotherapeutic Approaches
Body-Oriented Work

Depending on the topic, group, and context, I select suitable elements from these approaches and translate them into clear, accessible exercises for a professional group setting. Participants may work with attention, imagination, bodily awareness, guided reflection, or structured exchange.

The workshops can become personal without requiring personal disclosure. Everyone remains free to decide how deeply they want to engage.

For the public speaking workshop, I also draw on my full-time acting training and my subsequent experience as a public speaking trainer.

Voices

What participants say about the workshops

Valentin Zahrnt moves away from the classic do-and-don’t seminar toward a discovery of one’s own person, impact, and effectiveness. Genuinely compelling.

Philip Schwidetzki
Managing Director

Our team took part in a half-day public speaking workshop with Valentin. He is an expert in the field and delivered an outstanding workshop. I can highly recommend working with him.

William Hart
Senior Product Manager

Valentin’s experience from the business world flows directly into his training sessions, and that’s what makes them so valuable.

Maurice Wilmink
Sales Director
Formats

Workshops range from focused two-hour sessions to half-day and full-day formats. Content and methods are adapted to the size and experience of the group and to the objectives of the event.

At conferences, I can offer the same focused workshop several times to small groups. This allows more participants to take part while preserving the interaction and personal engagement that make the format valuable.

Workshops are available in English and German.
